In a taxi in Cairo, I asked the driver to pull over on a bridge so I could take a picture. He did so and a police officer came and told him he could not stop on the bridge. My driver paid the policeman 20 pounds to let us go. What do Egyptians think of bribery? Do you think the police officer is morally wrong for taking money through the threat of force for himself? Or is it acceptable because the police officer does not get paid very much and must support his family?

  1. There is no doubt that what the driver violates the law, where the first stop in the forbidden he deserves legal punishment as well as worthy of punishment from God because it may cause damage if you stop in the forbidden
What do police violate the law, as well as contrary to Islam, bribery is forbidden and is not in dispute, and double their salary does not justify him taking a bribe

  2. This police officer is totally wrong regardless his religion (Muslim or Christian), and bribery one of things that start to pop-up when people let there religion/principles down and think just about money.
"the police officer does not get paid very much and must support his family" it's look like good excuse but there are a lot of poor people in Egypt refuse bribery and try to make more money by work more than one job.
