Egypt is NOT a dangerous country to live in (to Americans or Europeans). If there is so much security , that is because there are some accidents that happened because of Non-Egyptian Organizations that try to deliver a massage which is not ours. But the Egyptian Government try to protect foreigners even there is 1% possibility for these accidents. And these accidents happens everywhere actually. But from my experience foreigners like to live in Egypt because one of the mother of my sister's friend, she live in Egypt for so long now, she is from Germany, and after her husband died she decided to live here and go to Germany for couple of days in the summer, although she has 2 of her sons live in Germany.
Our country is very very safe.There are many many foreigners live in it, and they wonder all plases without securitiers. But which you saw in some places as Sumaiy said.
I think the security system in its normal levels in Egypt because, we don’t have a monitoring system like the United States. If we have cameras in everywhere like States, I think there would be less security.
