I understand that Muslims hate dogs and treat them badly, especially black dogs. Is this true? If so, why? What about cats? Do Muslims have pets of any kind? Our black dog Harriet, beloved family member for 14 years, died last year and is buried in our backyard.
Muslims hate dogs to be at home because angels don't enter any house if there is one dog but we shouldn't treat them badly because our prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) ordered us to treat all creatures well. He also informed us that a man entered the paradise (or heaven) because he gave water to (quenched) a thirsty dog and a woman went to hell because she trapped a dog.

the prophet sais woman enter the hell because she put cat in the prison without eating or drinking
another hadiah man enter paradis because he drunk dog will die from the thirst
